Acceptable Use Policy
Rules that protect users, workers, companies, ejumah and the public.

1. Purpose
This policy protects users, workers, companies, Ejumah and the public. It applies to accounts, listings, jobs, messages, payments, uploads, reviews and platform access.
2. Illegal and dangerous services
You may not use Ejumah to request, offer, promote or perform:
- unlawful activity;
- theft, burglary, fraud or unauthorised entry;
- bypassing locks, accounts, devices or security without proof of authority;
- illegal electrical, gas, structural or regulated work;
- weapon, explosive or controlled-substance services;
- harmful surveillance or stalking;
- document forgery or identity fraud;
- environmental dumping or unlawful disposal; or
- any activity that creates an unreasonable risk of injury or property damage.
Ejumah may require licences or restrict categories considered high-risk.
3. Fraud and impersonation
You may not:
- use another person's identity;
- create duplicate accounts to avoid restrictions;
- submit fake documents or verification media;
- fabricate jobs, quotes, receipts, location or completion evidence;
- make unauthorised payment claims;
- manipulate wallet balances; or
- access another user's account.
4. Harassment and discrimination
Threats, sexual harassment, stalking, hate speech, degrading conduct and unlawful discrimination are prohibited. Users must respect personal boundaries, property and safety.
5. Payment circumvention
You may not use information obtained through Ejumah to move the same job, payment or repeat transaction off-platform for the purpose of avoiding fees, records, taxes, safeguards or restrictions.
6. Review manipulation
You may not:
- buy or sell reviews;
- review your own account;
- pressure a user for a dishonest rating;
- threaten a negative review to obtain money or unrelated benefits;
- coordinate fake transactions; or
- retaliate against a genuine complainant.
7. Privacy and personal information
You may use another user's information only for the relevant Ejumah transaction. You may not publish, sell, scrape, contact for unrelated marketing, or retain identity, address, location, phone, image or payment information without lawful justification.
8. Platform integrity
You may not:
- probe, scan or test systems without written permission;
- introduce malware or harmful code;
- scrape or automate access contrary to platform instructions;
- bypass authentication, rate limits or access controls;
- interfere with Socket.IO, APIs or other services;
- reverse engineer where prohibited by law; or
- use Ejumah content or data to build a competing database without permission.

9. Content standards
Uploads and messages must not contain:
- illegal or exploitative content;
- intimate content shared without consent;
- child sexual abuse material;
- malicious files;
- knowingly false allegations;
- irrelevant advertising or spam;
- content that infringes intellectual-property rights; or
- another person's confidential data without authority.
10. Safety and professional competence
Workers and companies must not accept work outside their competence, licence or insurance. A user must stop work and report conditions presenting an immediate serious risk.
11. Enforcement
Depending on severity and history, Ejumah may:
- warn the user;
- remove content;
- cancel or restrict a job;
- withhold or reserve marketplace funds where lawful;
- reduce visibility;
- require re-verification;
- suspend or terminate an account;
- preserve evidence; or
- report conduct to a payment provider, regulator or law-enforcement agency.
12. Reporting
Report violations through the app or to [email protected]. For emergencies or suspected crime, contact the appropriate emergency or law-enforcement service first.
